Katie Price's Addiction to Luxury and Cosmetic Surgery
From a multi-million fortune to bankruptcy — and from a beauty obsession to nerve damage and complications. What the Katie Price case reveals about the dark side of cosmetic surgery.

Katrina Alexandra "Katie" Price, née Infield (born 22 May 1978 in Brighton), is a British glamour model, singer, businesswoman, and author. Early in her career she became known under the stage name "Jordan," which she has not used for years.
Katie Price Was Once Among the Richest Stars in England
Price's fortune was once estimated at more than 45 million euros. Only a few years ago the shrewd businesswoman was among the richest stars in England. But divorces, expensive properties, luxury goods, and countless cosmetic operations made the fortune vanish within a short time. A few days ago the mother of five was declared bankrupt by a London court.
A Beauty Obsession with Consequences
Expensive cosmetic surgery sealed the final ruin. Even though Price had little or no money left, she went under the knife again and again. Bottom, breasts, nose, lips. Katie Price is known for constantly wanting to optimise her appearance. There is hardly a spot left on the reality star's body that was still shaped by Mother Nature.
After her latest procedure, a facelift in Istanbul, Price is struggling with serious complications that could even cost her her ears. This visit to the beauty doctor was not, however, the first facelift for Price, who is only 41. In July of last year she screamed in pain in an episode of her reality show "Katie Price: My Crazy Life" as her ex Kieran Hayler cleaned her pus-filled lifting wounds. She does not seem to have learned from it, otherwise she would not have travelled to Turkey a few months later. After that, according to eyewitness reports, she could barely open her eyes. After the bandages were removed at home, pus is said to have oozed from her wounds and the stitches to have been bloody. Katie suffered "insane pain" and worried that her ears might fall off. A source told "The Sun": "Katie is very worried about how slowly the facelift is healing and is frustrated that it is still swollen and hot." That is why she is said to have secretly flown back to Turkey to meet her surgeon as part of the aftercare.
Nerve Damage After Facelifts
According to "The Sun," acquaintances of Katie Price claim the model's cheeks have gone numb. Over two years Katie reportedly underwent three facelifts. This is said to have led to nerve damage. Sources also say that Price travelled to Turkey specifically for the operations because British doctors had refused to perform them.
Pain After a Bottom Operation
But that is not all. According to "The Sun," in Turkey she had not only her face but also her bottom lifted. She had a Brazilian butt fitted and afterwards needed huge amounts of medication to cope with the pain.
Conclusion
Katie Price began invasive procedures on her face and body very early. In doing so she has massively damaged her health. After every operation the body takes longer to recover. Beyond that, it can lead to enormous problems in the healing process. Apart from this, the countless cosmetic procedures have clearly disfigured her face. Her surgical scars are not for the faint-hearted.
No one knows how Katie Price will be doing in twenty years. I wish for her that she finds some peace. Her case remains a cautionary tale of how, in the name of beauty, one can destroy one's face, one's body, and oneself. And all of it at 41 …
With my FACE Method® I take the opposite path: no scalpel, no needle, no scars. Instead, targeted training of the facial muscles and the bone structure beneath them — healthy, natural, and for a lifetime.
