The Method
Targeted training for build-up, shape and stability in the face.
The FACE Method® is a targeted training system for the entire face. Through precise execution, both superficial and deeper muscle layers are specifically reached, strengthened and built up. The resulting load stimuli also involve the bony structures and promote their strengthening and build-up.
As with strength training for the body, shape arises through targeted load and muscle building. Because the muscles of the face work together, the entire face is always taken into account. Depending on the face and the training goal, individual areas are emphasized differently and the exercises are adjusted accordingly.
- Targeted muscle building across the entire face
- Training that reaches deeper muscle layers
- Strengthening of muscles and bony structures
- Individually selected and precisely performed exercises

How the method works
Bones give the basic shape. Muscles shape the face.
The bones give the face its basic shape. Above them lies the facial musculature. It helps determine how full, firm and defined the cheeks, lips, eye area and jawline appear.
The FACE Method® trains exactly these muscles. They are activated in a targeted way, strengthened and built up step by step. As a result, the face visibly gains shape, fullness and stability.
The muscles of the face work together. That is why the whole face is always taken into account during training. Depending on the face, individual areas are emphasized more strongly and the training is adjusted accordingly.
What gives the face shape and support.
The shape, contour and stability of the face arise largely from the structures beneath the skin: the muscles and the bony base. When the muscles lose tension and volume and the bony structure changes, the shape of the face changes as well.
This is exactly where the FACE Method® comes in. It trains the facial muscles specifically, promotes their build-up and strengthening, and at the same time involves the bony structures. The resulting load stimuli promote their strengthening and build-up as well. The face gains more tension, stability and contour.

Why the neck is part of facial training.
The face and neck work closely together. The neck muscles influence, among other things, the lower jaw, the chin line, the floor of the mouth and the contour of the neck, and with that the support of the lower half of the face.
That is why the FACE Method® does not treat the neck as a separate area but includes it in the training of the entire face. Which focal points make sense depends on the individual face and the individual proportions of chin, jaw and neck.
In depth
The training principle in detail.
What sets the FACE Method® apart from facial gymnastics or face yoga?
Face yoga and simple facial exercises usually work with very light movements, stretches, strokes or relaxation techniques. The stimulus remains mostly in the superficial area of skin and tissue. The facial muscles underneath are not brought under targeted tension and are not challenged with a load that triggers systematic muscle growth. That is something fundamentally different from targeted muscle-building training.
The FACE Method®, by contrast, works according to the principles of structured muscle-building training. Force, tension, position and precise execution are used deliberately so that a clear training stimulus arises and the muscles are strengthened and built up. The training covers the entire face and reaches deeper muscle layers.
Another difference is individuality: general facial exercises and many online programs prescribe the same exercises for everyone. With the FACE Method®, by contrast, the exercises are selected according to facial shape, existing muscles and training goal, and adjusted as you progress.
- Targeted muscle building instead of general movement and relaxation exercises
- Training of the entire face down to deeper muscle layers
- Individually selected exercises instead of one program for everyone
- Deliberate control of force, tension, position and execution
Muscle building needs targeted load.
Facial muscles respond to training stimuli like other muscles of the body. When they are loaded specifically and sufficiently, they can become stronger and visibly gain volume. What matters is not as much movement as possible, but the right tension, precise execution and a load that fits the respective muscle and training level.
This is exactly what the FACE Method® builds on. The exercises are selected specifically and performed so that the muscles are truly challenged. As your training level increases, exercises, tension and load are adjusted so that muscle building can continue.
How your personal FACE training comes together.
- 1
Personal analysis
I analyze your face, its shape, the existing muscles and the areas that should be specifically built up or emphasized more strongly. I also take proportions such as the relationship of chin, jaw and neck into account when selecting the exercises. This forms the basis for your personal training plan.
- 2
Your exercises
You receive four FACE exercises selected individually for your face and your goals. I explain every exercise to you precisely and make sure that tension, position and execution are right.
- 3
Training and guidance
You train the exercises you have learned regularly. I follow your development, check your execution and adjust details as your face and your training level change.
- 4
Further development as needed
Depending on your development, face and training goal, the existing plan can later be extended or adjusted. Additional exercises are added only when they are useful for further build-up or a specific focus.
In comparison
The FACE Method® compared
Botox, fillers, cosmetic surgery, face yoga and the FACE Method® all promise a fresher face. But the approaches could not be more different. This overview shows where the paths truly differ.
| Approach | Works on | Procedure needed | Risk | Permanence | Cost |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Botox / fillers | Paralyses muscles (Botox) or adds volume (fillers). Acts at the surface, not in the deep structure. | Yes, injection by a professional. | Possible side effects, unnatural expression, dependence on repeat treatments. | Temporary, needs regular touch-ups. | Recurring: as a guide, CHF 300–600 per session, refreshed roughly every 4–6 months. |
| Cosmetic surgery | Tightens skin and tissue surgically, but does not change the bony base structure of the face. | Yes, surgery under anaesthesia. | Surgical and anaesthetic risks, downtime, possible visible traces. | Visible long-term, but the face keeps aging, bone loss remains untouched. | High: as a guide, CHF 10,000–30,000 per procedure, plus possible follow-up procedures. |
| Face yoga | Mainly moves the skin at the surface, does not truly challenge the deep muscles. | No. | Done incorrectly it can even create or deepen wrinkles; face type is ignored. | Limited, without a real build-up stimulus. | Low: courses and apps, as a guide usually under CHF 500 per year. |
| FACE Method® | Trains the deep mimic muscles step by step and with precision, reaching muscles, fascia and bone. | No, your own muscle strength, without surgery or injections. | Natural training without intervention; exercises are guided individually and precisely. | Lasting as long as you train regularly, like strength training for the body. | One-off from CHF 1,500. After that you train on your own at home, and the exercises are yours. |

The statements about the FACE Method® are based on my observations from 30 years of practice and work with hundreds of clients. They are not a medical promise of cure. The cost figures for the other methods are non-binding guide values (Switzerland) and vary by provider. Source: FACE-Institut.
The FACE Method® today.
Almost 30 years of development and practical work have produced a precise training system that I have continuously developed and refined. I have tested every exercise on my own face and optimized it further and further through work with the most diverse faces, starting situations and goals.
My experience shows that the visible aging process in the face and neck can be reduced considerably through targeted muscle building. And it is not only the muscle itself that changes. The build-up affects the entire structural interplay of the face: the skin and subcutaneous tissue benefit from the stronger base, the connective tissue and SMAS are mechanically involved, and collagen- and elastin-containing structures are also placed under changed load stimuli. Through the muscle pulls, the bony structures are loaded at the same time and supported in their strengthening and build-up.
In this way, the FACE Method® works not only on individual muscles but on the entire system that gives the face shape, tension, stability and contour. How quickly and to what extent changes become visible is individual.
